33 posts · Joined 2008. #23 · Nov 6, 2008. There is no reason to find a 'real' Boss 302 for a 65-68 and you real only need to find a real Boss if your building a numbers matching 69-71 Boss Mustang. For all other pseudo Boss builds just use a 302 block and 4v Cleveland closed chamber heads. Much cheaper.

The '69 heads had enormous 2.23-inch intake valves, while the '70 had slightly less so, but still enormous, 2.19-inch intake valves.
